Dr. Mike Christensen

Initially raised in Utah, Dr. Christensen knew early on that he felt passionately about the field of healthcare. Despite this, he struggled for a time to find a career path that suited him. Then one day, his wife, who was a dental hygienist, suggested that he shadow her at work. After watching the incredible impact that she and her teammates had on the lives of their patients, he felt inspired to pursue a career in dentistry himself.

Dr. Christensen began his educational career at the University of Utah, which was when he married his high school sweetheart, Mandy. He then went on to attend the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he graduated with honors. After completing his education, Dr. Christensen and his family moved back to Utah and then to South Central Alaska, where they immediately felt welcomed and at home with the local community and natural beauty of the area.

Since then, Dr. Christensen has established himself as a trusted provider who remains committed to continuing education, and has completed additional courses in dental implantology and surgery in addition to becoming a certified Invisalign provider. He also stays active with several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, to stay current with the latest treatments and technology.

When Dr. Christensen is not in the office helping people of all ages build and maintain the most beautiful, healthiest versions of their smiles, he can often be found enjoying time with his wife and three children outdoors hiking, fishing, or hunting. He’s thrilled to enjoy all that the Kenai Peninsula has to offer and looks forward to meeting you and helping you with all your oral healthcare needs!
